Ferryside Stabilisation

We have the signed contract in hand to undertake slope and retaining wall stabilisation works in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire. The soil nailing and retaining wall re-build scheme will be done in-house by Quantum’s Geo-Contracting team. Works will commence shortly.

Ebbw Vale Mine Workings

GI Works are underway at Rhyd Y Blew, Ebbw Vale. We’re investigating shallow mine workings and two possible mineshafts using two of our Commachio MC600 drill rigs and bespoke safety drilling platforms. With over 35 years’ experience drilling in the South Wales Coal Field, and origins in the coal mining sector, we pride ourselves on first-hand knowledge of the SW Coal Field.

Limestone Sinkhole Investigations

Emergency investigation of Limestone sinkholes is underway in South Wales with some fascinating findings. We’re glad to be of assistance to the locality and provide our expert services.

BCI Awards

We had a fantastic evening had at the British Construction Industry Awards 2018 in London, where Quantum were finalists in the ‘Exporting Expertise Initiative of the Year’ category. While we didn’t win we had a marvellous evening and all winners were truly worthy. John Stark, Ross McDermott & Jim Dennis were in attendance.

Works at Week Ford new replacement bridge are all complete and the road re-opened. Tremendous work and showcasing our in-house expertise and ability. Complete replacement of bridge all undertaken by Quantum, from demo to piling to construction.

September is proving to be a busy month in GI! Works at Bryn Pica Eco Park are underway. The £65k scheme comprises deep probes and cored boreholes on behalf of the Park itself. The photo shows logging underway.

A New Rig for Quantum!

Quantum’s Laboratory in-situ testing and sampling fleet are expanding due to increased demand across South Wales and West. We’ve just received delivery of our latest piece of equipment: the Xcalibre T1P Neptune Road Towable Coring Rig.
